There 3 first prizes; one for painting, one for sculpture or installation, and one for Photography. Each gives to the winner €2.000.
The competition is open to Italian and foreign emerging artists, aged between 18 and 50. Participation includes a collective 10-day exhibition, free attendance of the workshops in the discipline registered for, presentation of artist’s portfolio to the jury and press, dedicated pages presenting the artist in the official event catalogue, inclusion in the Artbahnhof network, opportunity to take part in the training events to be held during the ten day exhibition, possibility of participating in future Special Editions organised around the world, inclusion in the virtual gallery on the site www.whoartyou.net.
The 2016 edition will undergo a significant change. The event this year will in fact extend over 10 days, thereby allowing experts and the broader public to experience the artworks to the full. It will also and more especially, host several training workshops dedicated to those selected to participate in the contest, providing the jury with opportunities to better observe and make a detailed assessment of the work. Even unsuccessful applicants will be able to attend the training events , with this promoting the development of networks between artists and empowering young artistic minds to converse fluently and exchange opinions (see paragraphs 10 and 11). The number of selected applicants for the final will drop drastically to 30 who will then compete in the three disciplines of painting, photography and sculpture/installation. The limited number makes the competition more exclusive, raising the level of emerging art on offer every year. Another important change that will be introduced in the fifth edition is the awarding of money to the winners and prizes of supplies to the runners-up.
